Friends of the Poor
Friends of the Poor had a desire to redesign their static, html-based website so that they could accept online donations and post volunteer opportunities. Their previous website consisted of a few text-heavy pages which made the important content hard to find.
My goal was to create a welcoming and warm website that clearly defined their areas of service to attract donors and volunteers.
Design
The free-form design elements gave a nod to their hand-drawn logo and fluidity with their cross-border efforts in Mexico. The color palette is humble, yet lively to highlight their organization’s 100% volunteer efforts.
Function
Friends of the Poor’s new website was built in WordPress and featured a responsive design to fit various screen sizes.
Custom blocks were developed for the unique graphic elements. This allowed for design consistency throughout the website.
